Snaptun - Experiences at the small harbour in Horsens Fjord
As a blue oasis in a green landscape, Snaptun is beautifully situated next to Horsens Fjord. Here it is buzzing every day with sailors, ferry guests and nature lovers who use the harbour as a cosy pit stop or a reason-to-go in itself.

The maritime centre of the fjord
Try to say the word one more time; Snaptun. You can almost feel, see and hear how the town’s waterfront location has shaped it and created a breathing space and refuge - both for those who make a living from the waterfront location and for those who head for the water as soon as they have time off.
At Snaptun, you have quick and easy access to the area’s islands. At the same time, you have a varied range of experiences on your doorstep. And not least, you have a fun harbour where you can relax with a cold ice cream in the sun to the sound of sailboat masts.

Island hopping from Snaptun
Ferries depart from Snaptun Harbour to Endelave and Hjarnø. From Hjarnø, you can continue to Alrø during the summer season – on foot or by bicycle via the small bicycle ferry.
With nature on your doorstep
Almost in the immediate vicinity of the harbour is Tønballe Forest. You can reach the forest via a path along the water that starts at the harbour. In Tønballe Forest there are several places where it slopes down towards the sea and there are lovely views of the fjord and its islands. The very best view is from the viewing tower as you pass by on your way. The beautiful forest also offers forest fitness and a dog forest. The path along the water is referred to as the “war path”, as here on the coast there have been several redoubts from which Horsens has been protected from uninvited Swedish and English ships. Among other things, you will pass a cannon resting on top of a slope. Today, however, Swedes and English should not fear anything - they are more than welcome in Snaptun!
